Mango Salsa

There’s nothing new and exciting about fruit salsa, but a well done mango salsa is always welcome. My name is Darcie and I’ve been making salsas for almost a decade now. I’m particularly interested in the balance between sweet and spicy in a fruit salsa, like mango. The reason I’m sharing my mango salsa recipe now is that it’s MANGO SEASON, DARLINGS and so it’s a fairly inexpensive experiment.

As an aside, ‘tis I who used to work in the legal field before I retired. I opened this blog to promote law clerkships at The Hadley Law Firm and other offices. So if you came here looking for legal advice, you’ll be leaving with salsa advice. You can’t really complain about that!

All you really need for a good mango salsa is listed below. Eyeball your portions, chop your ingredients, toss them in a bowl, and have at it! Let’s not overthink this!

Ripe diced mangos

Red bell pepper

Red onion

Fresh cilantro

Jalapeno (remove the seeds for a milder salsa)

Lime juice

Salt

I usually suggest serving this with a simple tortilla chip so that the taste of the salsa really shines. Try this out, tweek the recipe as you see fit, and let us know in the comments what you come up with!
